Some of you know me; some of you don't. I'm trying to meet new people and gain more of an online presence, and I thought, "what better way to start out than with a blank web page as a canvas and the 'essentials.'" So I'll begin with a simple who, what, where, when, and why."

W H O: I'm just a college graduate from a town you've never heard of trying to figure out what I want out of life and messing up a lot along the way. I'm nobody special, I don't know any better than you, there's just something about putting my life down in words helps me feel like there's a greater chance of figuring out what it is I'm supposed to do. I want to be as transparent as possible.

W H A T: I am currently a Jr. High English Language Arts teacher at a low-income school. It's what I've wanted to do for forever, but not what I want to do forever. ya feel? It's been an incredibly wild year, but I have my heart set on something a little more creative and out of the box. Currently sending my resumé out into the world of publishing but to put it simply - I just love to create. I like words, typography, photos, interior design, the psychology behind marketing, and the analytics of social media. There's so much out there and I'm just not sure what I want to get my hands into most. I'm a jill-of-all-trades, but master of none. Literally, none. So until I get that sorted out, I am teacher. daughter. friend. avid cheese eater. thrift shopper. amateur blogger. And above all, believer in the Oxford Comma.

W H E R E: Oh what my heart would give to feel like I belong in any one place. I'm from Arkansas. Currently teaching and living in Memphis. Trying to transition to Nashville. I have parents in Texas and California. I plan on seeing the world someday.

W H E N: 1994 Is born in small town to teenage mother
1999 Watches clueless so many times my parents
                 hide the VHS
2005 My teacher tells my parents I'm too
concerned with being popular to do well in
school for passing an invitation to my 11th birthday
party out in class. (Well look who's
                 teacher now, Mrs. Allen)
2012 I graduate and vow never to return to small
town (leaves for college in slightly bigger
                 small town)
2015 has midlife crisis 20 years too soon (I always
                 was mature for my age)
2016 messes a lot of ish up, graduates college,
moves out of state, gets a job

W H Y: I'm calling this my opinion blog. I'm not selling anything (yet...haha), I am not affiliated with anyone, I'm just doing this blog first and foremost as a hobby, but really just to share my opinions on everything from clothing to books, from products to art, from fitness to food. I just like to talk about things and I'd love an excuse to talk to new people, try new things, go new places, and take way too many pictures. I want to be more intentional about focussing on the things in life I enjoy so that I feel like I'm actually alive.
